Credentials

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program requires all students to be registered in sonography by either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Staying on the cutting-edge of sonography is extremely important for all sonographers. New technology changes every year, so it is important that sonographers stay up-to-date with those changes to provide patients with the best care available. For this reason, FHCHS supports testing and certification of students and requires students entering the program to be certified before being admitted.

If you do not currently have certification, please contact one of these credentialing organizations: ARDMS (www.ardms.org), ARRT (www.arrt.org) or CCI (www.cci-online.org).
