A Well Rounded Degree for Professional Imaging Leaders
The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences degree offers working imaging professionals the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills they need for continual professional growth. This is a Bachelor’s completion program for students with prior education and work experience in the field of medical imaging.
Upon completion of this program, the graduate will be able to:
- Use Christian principles to guide interactions with patients/clients, health care professionals, and the public.
- Synthesize knowledge from experience, the arts, sciences and humanities to meet patient’s/client’s physiological, psychological, sociocultural, developmental and spiritual needs.
- Assume leadership roles and managerial skills necessary to direct imaging services.
- Increase your knowledge of advanced imaging modalities.
- Use critical thinking and problem based learning skills to resolve healthcare issues.
- Practice a holistic and ethical approach to health care.
- Value lifelong learning as a means to continuously update professional knowledge and skills and participate in activities that support the profession.
About the Coursework
The curriculum is challenging; a well rounded blend of business and radiography skills. Classes in Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Organizational Behavior, allow students to learn critical business skills necessary to run an imaging department. Students form budget plans and learn marketing techniques that are immediately applicable to their work environments.
PACS or digital imaging is uniquely threaded into each class, offering students further exposure to this evolving aspect of imaging. Our PhD level, full time faculty teaches students self awareness with regards to ethical and moral standards in the workplace. The BS RS curriculum instills in students the importance of continued learning and the true global impact of the profession.
